Our veterinary hospitals provide veterinary care for both pets and animals in need.

Hunter Veterinary Hospital

Since 2005, our Hunter Veterinary Hospital has provided the highest level of care to shelter  animals, injured strays, impounded animals, private clients and cruelty cases.

The hospital offers a range of services, including:

  • advice and support for pet owners
  • an in-house laboratory
  • a separate hospital area for animals of private clients
  • a special ambulance bay
  • four isolation wards
  • four other wards for isolating animals with infectious diseases
  • microchipping
  • referrals
  • two consultation rooms
  • two operating theatres with four surgical tables
  • veterinary retail products
  • X-rays

The hospital is partnered with:

  • TAFE
  • The University of Sydney and other universities for veterinary training opportunities

There are available opportunities for foster carers and volunteers.

The hospital is complemented by the Tighes Hill Veterinary Hospital. In the event of an out-of-hours emergency, please call the main phone number and you will be directed to the appropriate after hours veterinarian.

Our Sydney, Hunter and Broken Hill Shelters have veterinary hospitals onsite. 

Our prices vary, but we aim to make them as affordable as possible. If you hold a health care card or pensioner card, we may be able to still help you provide the best care for your pet. Please contact your local veterinary location for more information here.

Absolutely 100 per cent of profits go back into the organisation to help animals in need. It provides veterinary care, nutrition, shelter, rehabilitation and enrichment to every animal that comes through our doors.
