His story starts with a chilling cruelty report we received from a member of the public, telling us of their concerns for more than 20 dogs being kept in shocking conditions. When Inspectors went to investigate, they didn’t know what they would find. They stood outside what looked like an ordinary residential block but there was no clue as to what was happening on the inside. But at the back of the property, there was a maze of enclosures and kennels where over 30 animals were being kept in filthy conditions.

This was a sad and shocking case of animal cruelty.

It just shows that cruelty and neglect can happen anywhere. It doesn’t have to be an isolated location – it can be behind the front door of an ordinary house in the suburbs.
