RSPCA NSW provides veterinary care to both animals in need and pets of private patients.
You and your pet will enjoy the highest level of care when you visit one of RSPCA NSW’s three veterinary hospitals. These facilities are open to the public and are dotted across the state. Our experienced veterinary teams use state-of-the-art diagnostic and surgical equipment to ensure your much-loved pet receives excellent care and treatment.
RSPCA NSW also cares for a wide range of animals in-house, including animals who are being prepared for or are awaiting adoption, as well as animals who are in the custody of our Inspectorate.
When you choose an RSPCA veterinary hospital to treat for your pet, your fees go directly back into the organisation. This means they can be used to provide invaluable care and support for stray and surrendered animals who are injured, sick or have been victims of cruelty.
Located in Yagoona, RSPCA NSW’s Sydney Veterinary Hospital responds to a wide range of cases and conditions. From routine procedures like desexing to complex orthopaedic surgeries.
Since 2005, the RSPCA NSW Hunter Veterinary Hospital has served a crucial role in the community, offering a range of services designed to support both pets and shelter animals.
Since 1974, the RSPCA NSW Broken Hill Veterinary Hospital has provided high quality care for local animals, wildlife, victims of animal cruelty, and private pets.
Our Sydney and Hunter shelters have veterinary hospitals onsite. We also have a veterinary hospital in Broken Hill.
Our prices vary, but we aim to make them as affordable as possible. If you hold a health care card or pensioner card, we may be able to still help you provide the best care for your pet. Please contact your local veterinary location for more information.
Please note that although we update our online lists of available animals every day, there is a chance that an animal you are interested in will have found a home prior to your arrival at the centre.
If you’re visiting BARC to adopt, don’t forget to bring a photographic identity document complete with your name and current address. If you already have a dog at home, you may need bring them in for a meet and greet to ensure they’ll get along with your newest furry friend.
100 per cent of profits go back into the organisation to help animals in need. It provides veterinary care, nutrition, shelter, rehabilitation and enrichment to every animal that comes through our doors.
Dedicated behaviour centres allow us to create an ideal environment to set, support, and meet our animals’ rehabilitation goals. Complete with outdoor space and grass for enrichment, walks, and play, our centres greatly benefit our animals as they embark on their recovery journeys. We work with our animals to prepare them for life in a stable home, helping them build the confidence they need to thrive with a family of their own.
We promise to uphold the highest ethical standards. Your personal information has never been, and never will be sold or traded to other charities. This is our promise to you.
We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the lands on which we live and work. We recognise and respect the enduring relationship they have with their lands and waterways, and particularly acknowledge the vital role animals have played in Indigenous life, stories and culture for tens of thousands of years.
