Please help hurting animals like Bud receive extensive, urgent care this winter.

When sweet Bud arrived at our shelter, it was heart wrenching to see this poor pooch in so much pain. This sweet pup was found abandoned behind a dumpster. His beautiful tan coat was covered with horrible dog fight wounds.  

But we soon learned Bud was suffering from more than just the wounds we could see. 

While taking x-rays, our vets discovered a long nail stuck at the end of Bud’s stomach. He needed immediate specialist surgery to remove it.  

An endoscopy was promptly scheduled for Bud. It took three vets to drive the machine—one to maneuver the camera, one to grab the nail, and another one to help monitor and move the scope tube through Bud’s body.  

Bud’s medical bills alone added up to more than $4,400. And he’s just one of 450 dogs and puppies currently in our care.  

We’re seeing more and more situations like Bud’s at our shelters—animals who need complex, extensive care from expert veterinarians.
