RSPCA NSW Welcomes New President Peter O’Callaghan

RSPCA NSW is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Peter O’Callaghan as our new President, taking over from the society’s President of 15 years, Dr Peter Wright.

With over 35 years of professional experience, including 4 years as an RSPCA NSW Board Director, Mr O’Callaghan brings a wealth of risk management and governance expertise. His extensive knowledge of both government and not-for-profit sectors ensures that our organisation – and the people and animals we serve – will continue to rest in discerning, capable hands.

“I’m truly grateful for the opportunity to step into a leadership role with such an incredible organisation.  It is an honour to work alongside our fellow Board members, staff, volunteers, and supporters; their dedication and passion for supporting people and animals alike inspire me to bring our upcoming strategic plans to life,” Mr O’Callaghan said.

“I look forward to ensuring that RSPCA NSW remains financially sustainable, so we can continue to adapt, grow, and meet the increasing demands of our ongoing support initiatives”.

RSPCA NSW would like to thank Dr Peter Wright for his dedication and many years of service. His exceptional leadership and generosity have profoundly shaped RSPCA NSW and our mission to nurture and protect communities and animals across the state.

We look forward to the journey ahead under Mr. O’Callaghan’s leadership.
