Inspectorate Update – 65 Cats Seized from Western Sydney

Yesterday, Thursday, 25 July 2024, a team of seven RSPCA NSW Inspectors seized 65 cats from a suburb in Western Sydney.

Inspectors responded to an animal welfare emergency where there were allegations of cats thrown from windows.

Upon attending the property, they found free roaming cats and cats stacked in carriers spilling from a backyard shed into the front yard of a residential dwelling.

They are being assessed, triaged, and treated for various veterinary conditions, including gastro-intestinal distress, skin lesions, and poor body condition.

This is part of an ongoing cruelty investigation.
