Changes to our veterinary hospitals at Hunter and Tighes Hill Posted on November 19, 2020 RSPCA NSW is pleased to announce we are expanding our Hunter Veterinary Hospital to create a state-of-the-art facility for veterinary services in the greater Hunter/Newcastle region. This will include the addition of consultation rooms, facilities for surgical offerings and a variety of specialised services for animals in the area. We have identified a need for these services to be available, and we hope that by expanding the facility and centralising our services and staff, we can help more people help more animals. This opportunity has been made possible by a generous bequest from one of our most dedicated supporters, the late Sheila Woodcock, who was a passionate animal lover. The decision was furthermore made in consultation with the Woodcock family. As part of this plan, our Tighes Hill Veterinary Hospital will close to the public on 1 December 2020. We are in the beginning stages of this transition, and we appreciate your patience and understanding at this time. Our hope is to see more services and support available to all animals in the growing Hunter community.
