You can now Return and Earn for RSPCA NSW! Posted on August 26, 2019 As you may or may not know, RSPCA NSW is a not-for-profit, non-government organisation. With only two per cent of our funding coming from the state government, we rely heavily on the generosity of our like-minded supporters to donate money to help the animals in our care. Every little bit helps too — just $5, $10 or $15 goes so far to help a neglected animal receive the love and care they deserve. And now, from August 26 to November 3, Return and Earn are partnering with RSPCA NSW to give our supporters another way to help the animals! Return and Earn is a NSW-based litter reduction scheme that incentivises residents to deposit their single-use drink containers into Reverse Vending Machines or collection points to prevent them from ending up in our oceans and parks. Each container gives you a refund of 10 cents and — at the Reverse Vending Machines only — you can donate your refund instead of claiming it. As of 26 August, RSPCA NSW will be a featured charity! So fetch your old bottles, cans or any other eligible container and donate your refund to an unbelievabottle cause. How to do it Bring eligible bottles and cans to your local Return and Earn Reverse Vending Machine. You can figure out where yours is here.Follow the instructions on the screen.Opt to donate your refund and select RSPCA NSW as the charity. Your donation will be spread around our shelters and veterinary hospitals, making a huge difference to the lives of all the animals in our care. And it all adds up! For example, just 50 bottles could help pay for treats to help train a dog and prepare them for their forever home. 75 bottles could help pay for enrichment toys to keep a playful kitten engaged and happy. 100 bottles could help pay for a nice cosy bed for an elderly dog to rest in. If you don’t have extra bottles lying around, that’s okay! You can always just donate what you can via our website to show how much you care about our furry and feathered friends.
