Poorly Drawn Pets Donor FAQs Posted on January 20, 2025 Q: When does Poorly Drawn Pets start? Poorly Drawn Pets launches on January 30th for one day only, with limited spaces available. Pre-register your interest to receive an email notification when it begins! Q: Can I submit multiple photos? Yes, you can! Here’s how it works: Single Pet Portrait: If you’d like a portrait of a single animal, you can make a single donation and submit your best image featuring that animal. Separate Portraits for Each Pet: If you’d like a separate portrait for each of your animals’, you’ll need to repeat the above process for each animal you wish you be drawn. Multiple Pets in One Portrait: If you’d like a portrait with multiple pets together, you’ll need to make the appropriate donation for the two-portrait or three-portrait option and submit one image that includes all the pets you’d like drawn together. Q: How do I upload my photo? The donation page will redirect you to upload your photo so please do not exit out of the page. If you encounter issues, email supportercare@rspcansw.org.au for assistance. Q: I’m having trouble uploading my photo! Please email supportercare@rspcansw.org.au with your photo, your pet’s name, and your details, and they’ll assist you. Q: What are the photo requirements? When you upload the photo you want to be drawn, please make sure that the photo doesn’t exceed 64mb. It is best if the photo is in a JPEG format. If you are after a single portrait, please add one image of your pet. If you want a portrait containing two or more pets please select the appropriate amount and ensure to upload ONE image containing all animals. You can refer to the ‘Multiple Photos’ question above if you have any questions. Q: What happens with my photo/s after I submit them? By submitting a photo, you’re giving permission for our dedicated volunteers to download it through the secure platform we use to manage the portrait process. This helps us keep track of both portraits in progress and those that are complete. To ensure the best experience, please choose a photo that features only your pet, without any humans in the frame. Rest assured, once the campaign is complete, the platform will no longer be accessible. Q: When/how will I receive my portrait? Our amazing volunteer artists will start creating portraits as soon as submissions are received. You can expect to receive an email with a Dropbox link to download your completed portrait within the next week, aiming for all portraits to be delivered by February 12th. If we receive an overwhelming number of submissions, there may be slight delays. In this case, you’ll be notified via email. If you’ve submitted multiple portraits, you may receive them at different times as each artist completes their work. We’re working hard to ensure every participant receives their portrait as quickly as possible—thank you for your patience and support! Q: Can I get the original portrait? RSPCA NSW has designed this campaign to provide you with a digital image of the portraits created. However, if the artist is happy to send the original, we can arrange to pass their details on so you can contact them directly and arrange this. To request the original portrait, email supportercare@rspcansw.org.au. They’ll connect you with the artist to discuss logistics. Q: Can I request a specific style for my portrait? The magic of Poorly Drawn Pets lies in its one-of-a-kind, volunteer-created charm, so unfortunately, specific style requests aren’t available. That’s part of the fun! You might receive an incredible masterpiece from one of our talented volunteer artists, or a delightfully quirky creation from someone who’s less artistically gifted – either way, it’s all for a great cause and guaranteed to make you smile. Q: Can I cancel or edit my submission after donating? If you need to make changes to your submission, please contact us at supportercare@rspcansw.org.au as soon as possible. We’ll do our best to assist you, but if an artist has already started working on your portrait, unfortunately, changes or cancellations may not be possible. Q: How do I know my donation went through? You’ll receive a confirmation email with your receipt after donating. If you don’t see it, please check your spam or junk folder. If it’s still not there, contact supportercare@rspcansw.org.au as soon as possible. This will ensure you don’t miss out on getting a portrait, as spots are limited! Q: What happens if my portrait isn’t delivered on time? Our artists will be working hard to ensure all portraits are completed by February 14th. However, if you don’t receive yours by then, please email us at supportercare@rspcansw.org.au for assistance. In the event of an overwhelming response, there might be slight delays. If you’re concerned about the status of your portrait, don’t hesitate to reach out, and we’ll happily check on it for you. Q: Can I choose which artist draws my pet? No, artists are randomly assigned, which makes every portrait a delightful surprise! It’s all part of the fun and charm of the Poorly Drawn Pets campaign. Q: Can I pay extra for a higher-quality drawing? Upgrades aren’t available, as the campaign celebrates the creative and quirky styles of volunteer artists. Q: What if I don’t like my portrait? Poorly Drawn Pets is all about having fun and supporting animals in need. The portraits are unique creations by our wonderful volunteers, and your donation goes a long way in making a difference for animals. It’s all in the name – Poorly Drawn! We’re lucky to have actual artists volunteering their time, but we encourage each supporter to expect a quirky, “poorly drawn” portrait. That way, you’ll get to enjoy a good laugh if you receive a charmingly imperfect creation from one of our artistically challenged artists or perhaps be pleasantly surprised with something from one of our talented artists! Either way, it’s all part of the fun. Q: Can I volunteer as an artist? We’d love to have you join as a volunteer artist! Register here! Q: Can I gift a portrait to someone else? Yes, you can! However, you’ll need to send the finished portrait to your friend yourself. Please ensure you use the exact same details when submitting your image as you provided with your donation. This ensures we can correctly match your portrait to your submission and get it back to you on time. Once completed, we’ll email you the portrait, ready for you to share with your friend. Q: What if I donated but didn’t submit a photo? We understand that technical difficulties can happen! If you’ve donated but couldn’t submit a photo, please email supportercare@rspcansw.org.au with your photo, your pet’s name, and any relevant details. Our team will make sure your submission is added. We hope this information helps!
