Hello there, I’m Penelope!
I may look like a typical tabby, but I carry the elegance of my ancient Egyptian ancestors. In fact, I’m a direct connection to the goddess Bastet herself! If you’re lucky enough to adopt me, you can consider yourself chosen by royalty. But don’t worry—I don’t demand a throne. All I ask for is a safe, loving home filled with gentle pats and lots of face and neck scratches.
I’ll be upfront—I’m a bit shy. It takes me some time to warm up to new people and environments, so I need a calm and quiet household where I can feel safe. I’m not the biggest fan of little kids, so I’d be happiest in a home with children over 12. I don’t love being picked up, but once I trust you, I’ll shower you with affection.
I enjoy playing with small cat balls and string toys—chasing them is a blast! When I first arrive in my new home, I might hide a bit as I adjust, but if you provide me with cozy spots to retreat to, I’ll feel much more secure.
I’m not really into traveling—home is my sanctuary. However, once I’m comfortable, I’ll absolutely love being brushed, especially with a nice back scratch. That’s my idea of heaven!
If you’re patient and understanding, and ready to give me the space I need to settle in, I’m sure we’ll become the best of friends.
