Hi, I'm Skip! I’m a Dachshund boy, full of curiosity and charm. My long body and short legs make me quite the adorable little explorer. I’m playful and loving, and I can’t wait to become a loyal companion to a family who’ll cherish me as much as I’ll cherish them. I can be shy when first meeting new people, I might bark if I'm unsure, so my new owners must understand that it will take time for me to build a bond, so a hands-off approach is ideal for me until I'm ready to come to you!For my safety and happiness, I need a home with solid fencing and secure footings. My small size means I could slip through gaps, so a secure yard is important for me to explore freely. I’m also eager to learn and would benefit greatly from some simple training, this will keep my brain busy and help me sleep! I enjoy being around certain other dogs, some I'm not so keen on, so if you already have dogs in the home, I must meet them to ensure we will all get along. I would really thrive in a home with an experienced owner who knows about our breed and our quirks, I can bark at new things and can take time to warm up to visitors, so an owner who is willing to support me and put management methods into the home is a must for me.If you think I might be the perfect match for your family, I’d love to meet you!XX Skip
