Make a difference in an animals life today!
Hi new friends, my names Elsie and it's super cool to meet you.
I'm a sweet little fluffball looking for my new forever home and I'm just so keen!
I've lived a life very small and low to the ground so I often find myself overwhelmed by the big loud world, I'm just so little! I've been very brave and am always excited to make a new friend but it helps if they are respectful of my space and let me meet on my terms. I would also prefer a home with older kids who are a little more predictable for me.
I've met some dogs here at the shelter and I really want to be everyone's friend but I prefer those a similar size to me as the big kids can spook me sometimes. If you have a social pup at home make sure they come in with you so that the staff can make sure we get along great in our new home together. I have a rather unique play style that can easily be misinterpreted as me being nasty so it is really important that my new canine friend is able to read this and know that I don't mean anything by it!
I'm a little kangaroo sometimes and enjoy getting up on high places sometimes to observe my domain so make sure that your fencing at home is at least 5ft and has nothing I can use to mountain goat my way over. I would recommend my new potential family do some research on the Schipperke breed as we can be quirky but lovable kids, I'll also require a family who is committed to ongoing maintenance of my beautiful coat.
Requirements:
If you think that I might be the girl for you then bring the whole family down to the Hunter shelter and we can get to know each other better, I'll be ready!
Love your "little captain",
Elsie
