Hello, I’m Flora, a sweet and sensitive Pomeranian.
I’m the kind of dog who likes to take my time and do things on my own terms, so I’m best as the only dog in the household—other dogs make me feel a bit anxious. I’d rather be the center of attention in a calm, quiet home where things are peaceful and slow-paced.
I can be a bit nervous around new people, so if you have children, they should be confident around dogs and patient with me. I need a little extra time to warm up to new faces, but once I do, I’ll shower you with love and loyalty. I thrive best in a family that understands my need for space and doesn’t rush me. I’m also not the type to go on walks, as I get pretty anxious on a lead in the big wide world. Instead, I’d love to have a nice yard where I can go outside to toilet and have some outdoor time. I’d much prefer to be indoors where I feel safest, so apartment living isn’t for me. A home with a yard where I can roam freely and stay close to home is my ideal setup.
My new family will need to be experienced and patient, taking things slow and allowing me to adjust at my own pace. I don’t mind being alone, but I’ll need someone who understands my quiet, reserved nature and can provide me with the calm, low-stress environment I need to feel truly at ease. I also don't enjoy car rides and will need someone to live within 2 hours from the RSPCA Yagoona shelter to ensure I don't have to go for a long drive back to my new home.
