Make a difference in an animals life today!
Hi, I’m Mr. Boop! I’m a handsome Domestic Shorthair with a lot of charm once you get to know me. Life hasn’t always been kind to me, but I’m starting to learn that not all humans are scary. I came into the shelter feeling very nervous and unsure. I had some pretty bad ringworm, and it left me feeling extra sensitive, both in body and heart. I wasn’t sure who to trust, and I’d rather hide than let anyone close.
But things are changing for me! I’ve been here for a while now, and every day I feel a little braver. The shelter team is super kind and patient, and they’ve shown me that love doesn’t have to hurt. I’m starting to understand that I can be a sweet boy and that there’s no need to be scared. It feels good to be noticed and cared for.
I can still get a little nervous sometimes, especially if someone moves too quickly or if there’s a loud noise. Fast movements or sudden sounds make me jump, but I promise, I’m working on it. I just need someone who will take their time with me, who will show me I can trust them. I’m not the kind of cat who will run up to you for attention right away, but if you’re patient and gentle, you’ll see the real me — a loving companion who just wants to feel safe and cared for.
I might take a little time to adjust, but I promise it’ll be worth it. With some patience and lots of love, I know I’ll blossom into the best friend you’ve been looking for. If you think you might be the person who can help me keep growing, I’d love to meet you!
