Hello there, my name is Roxy! I'm a sweet, gentle lady looking for my new home!
I came to the shelter a little thin and unsure but have quickly gained the love and affection of the staff, along with lots of their yummy treats that have helped me fill out into my beautiful self!
I'd suit a quieter home where I can be included as part of the family, coming both inside and outdoors, as well as joining you for daily walks, or simply snuggling up on a nice soft bed by your feet in the evening. Any children in the home should be calm and confident around dogs, as well as understand when I may need some space.
I know sometimes you have to go out, if you leave me with some fun toys, yum treats, fresh water bowl and a sheltered, snuggly bed, I should be safe and happy until you get home. I would benefit from daily enrichment and interactive feeders to help keep my mind and body active. I have met a few dogs at the shelter but can be a little unsure with some of them, I may get along with a calmer natured doggo, so if you have another dog at home, please bring them in to meet me to make sure we will be friends.
Dog parks or off-leash areas are not ideal for me as there may be rude dogs who would rush up to me, and what I really need is a little bit of space to figure them out and build my confidence, before becoming friends
If I sound like the lovely lady for you, please come in to meet me.
