Little bit about Levi, the Rescuoodle

Hi there, I'm Levi! I'm an American Staffy with a heart full of love.

I’m a sweet guy, though I’m looking for an experienced owner who understands my unique needs and quirks. I’m a charming Staffy who adores people once I get to know them. I’ve had some challenges in my past, so I might be a bit wary or excitable at first. My previous experiences mean I can be a bit stressed in new environments, so I need a home where I can feel safe and comfortable. I’m not a fan of being touched too much right away, but with patience and understanding, I’ll warm up to you! I need someone who is knowledgeable about managing typical Staffy excitement, as I can become quite energetic and experience big feelings. I might also show some avoidant behaviours and need a gentle touch to help me feel secure. Due to this, I prefer a quieter home without young kids. I can get quite jumpy during play, and older children who understand how to engage with me calmly will help me feel more at ease.

I came into the shelter with other dogs, but I haven’t shown much interest in meeting new ones here. It’s best if I can meet any potential dog buddies before coming home to make sure we’re a good match. I do well with having options, so I’d love a home where I can choose between cosy indoor spots and outdoor spaces. Having different areas to explore and relax will help me feel more comfortable in my new home.

Even though I have some quirks, I’m a genuinely sweet dog who loves to show affection in my own way. With the right guidance and a little patience, I’ll be a loyal and loving companion.
