Hello there, my name is Sage! I'm a friendly little guy looking for my new home!Â
I'd suit a quieter home where I can be included as part of the family, coming both inside and outdoors, as well as joining you for daily strolls, or simply snuggling up on a nice soft bed by your feet in the evening.
Any children in the home will need to be calm and confident around dogs, and I would love to meet the whole family before coming home with you! There is still much to learn about this big, beautiful world. I would benefit from ongoing positive reinforcement training to help me be the best dog I can be! Training takes time, practice and patience, along with lots of love and yummy treats which is all I will ask from you. I know sometimes you have to go out, if you leave me with some fun toys, yum treats, fresh water bowl and a sheltered, snuggly bed, I should be safe and happy until you get home. I would benefit from daily enrichment and interactive feeders to help keep my mind and body active.
I get along well with other dogs of a similar, small, calm and friendly nature, so if you have another dog at home, please bring them in to meet me to make sure we will be friends. Dog parks or off-leash areas are not ideal for me as there may be rude dogs who would rush up to me, and what I really need is a little bit of space to figure them out and build my confidence, before becoming friends.
My vets have plans to do further surgeries and this will be completed at RSPCA Veterinary Hospital in Yagoona. I would love the chance to settle into my new home first and allow for a smoother recovery. It is recommended that you are located in the Sydney/Illawarra/Central Coast as you will need to travel to Yagoona for further vet appointments.
If I sound like the little guy for you, please come in to meet me.
