Little bit about Zola, the Rescuoodle

Hi there, I'm Zola!

I’m a sweet young girl who hasn’t had the best start to life, I frighten pretty easily at times but that’s only cos I haven’t had much exposure to the world. So don’t be surprised if when you start your chores the vacuum cleaner sends me bolting, for this reason I’ll need an owner with experience with dogs, especially like me… with no prior learning about the world other than what I’ve received at the shelter.  

I enjoy the company of other dogs, so much so that I must go to a home that already has a dog. As I am a shy girl, I tend to learn lots from other dogs and they help me feel at ease in this scary world.

I’ll need a safe space in my new home where I can retreat to when I feel a little overwhelmed with the world – it’s a big adjustment coming from the shelter, it can sometimes take up to 3 months for me to actually decompress in a home environment – so please don’t flood me by taking me for walks straight away or by throwing a party with your extended-ed family – I need to form a bond with my new person first, I need to learn I can trust you and you’ll do everything you can to keep me safe.  

*Due to my shyness I will only have 1 meet and greet a day so I don't get too overwhelmed. I appreciate your understanding, Love Zola.
