Little bit about Amari, the Rescuoodle

Hello everyone

My name is Amari, and boy oh boy, have I got a tail to tell……..

It was a scary emergency that brought me into the shelter. When I was much smaller my Dad decided he didn't like me and I was injured. Luckily the lovely vets and animal attendants at the RSPCA patched me up and set me on the road to recovery. Everyone noticed that I was a great sleeper and the general noises of the shelter didn't bother me and eventually they realised that I'm deaf, so I really am a special girl.

Since then they have been teaching me sign language, which I'm getting really good at. I know how to sit, lie down, make eye contact and, my favourite sign of them all…. the thumbs up. That means they're going to give me a treat because I've been a good girl. I'm also working hard on my crate training as us special deaf dogs need a safe place to go, where no one will disturb us.

• Consistent and predictable homelife
• Ongoing training
• Must meet all household member and other dogs already living in the home
