Little bit about Maverick, the Rescuoodle

Hi, my name is Maverick, it's a pleasure to meet you!

I am looking for my fur-ever home, could that be with you? I am looking for a home where I will be included as part of the family, having access to indoors and outdoors. In my old home, I liked spending time inside around my people so I would love it if this could continue.

I have lived in a home with children before and noted to enjoy playing with them. If there will be children in my new home, I would love to meet them prior to going home with you to ensure we will be one big happy family.

I have lived in a home with other dogs and it seems as though we got along ok. During my time here at the shelter I have met some other dogs and find them to be interesting creatures – some I think are ok, and others I'd prefer to simply walk on by. I may be ok living with another dog but I will need to meet them first.

My new family will need to monitor us if I go home with another dog as I don't like to share toys and this might cause arguments if we are left alone with toys. For this same reason I do not like dog parks, I would prefer to go for a sniffy walk with one other dog.

I have been noted to get excited and bark at those exciting creatures you call cats so I will need a home without them please.

I'd love a home where my people are home more often than not please! I struggle with being left alone for long periods of time and will need a helping paw learning to be left for extended periods. So it would be great if someone was home with me most of the time. I also love sleeping with my people near me!

My new yard will need to have secure fencing to keep me safe. This would mean having nothing resting up against the fence that I may want to venture onto.
