Meet Dexter

Little bit about Dexter, the Rescuoodle

Hi peeps my name is Dexter and I am a younger boy looking for my very own family to spent time with and go on adventures. I am in my adolescence years so I am higher energy and will need my new parents to offer me outlets for this so that I do not develop any bad habits, enrichment is great for this and will provide me with the mental stimulation I need to thrive. I will do well an owner that is home more often than not especially while I settle, I do well with a routine so if we can get that organised prior to you leaving for long periods of time that will set me up for success in the home.  I nice safe secure backyard is another must for me to keep me safe while I am waiting for you to come back home.

My ideal home is with older kids as I can be a bit conflicted with touch and will need them to take it slow and allow me to move if needed. I have met some dogs here at shelter and I have shown some social behaviours towards them, I can need a little time to warm up especially if they are bigger than me. If we can give me some time before we venture to any off lead areas I would appreciate it just so we can build on my confidence when in situations like that.

Requirements:

• Must meet all family
• No children under 12
• Must meet all dogs
• Owner home more often (to help settle)
