Little bit about Louie, the Rescuoodle

Hi there,

My name is Louie and I am just an all-round great guy. I am an extrovert and I really love to be around my favourite pals.

I am a medium sized dog and I am quite active but I also love a bit of a routine – usually something like play, eat, sleep. We could have breakfast, go for a walk, come home and then I can have a bit of a nap! Sleeping is a really important part of the transition into the home environment from the kennels. Its important that I am getting anywhere between 16-20 hours!

A lot of people think that active working breeds such as myself need to have a lot of exercise so that I calm down however sometimes that can have the opposite effect and make me overtired and overstimulated. It’s important I have a routine but also have ways that I can settle down. I love to chew things so giving me cardboard boxes, bulli sticks and pigs ears is a great way for you to help me to relax.

I don’t really like the idea of dog parks because they can be overwhelming however I am quite dog social so if you have friends that have dogs we can definitely go for walks and have play dates.

I am a really smart dog I pick things up super quickly and I am very easy to train. I already know how to ‘sit’, ‘down’ and ‘shake’. I also just love to be massaged or patted and fall asleep next to you.

I am looking for a family who is home more often than not i.e. works from home or is home for at least most of the day. I would love a quieter life style at home but I am also up for adventure I love going on little hikes and to the beach!
