Little bit about Diego, the Rescuoodle

Hey everyone, my name is Diego, and I am a gentle, toy loving greyhound who has retired from racing life and is now looking to become a companion animal for my very own family!!

I am a medium energy boy who loves to do zoomies with my toys around the yard and then I will collapse into a heap and need a nap to recover, I would love to have an owner who has previous knowledge of my breed or who has done some research into greyhounds, I am an ex-racer so have some prey drive so will need to go to a home without smaller animals such as cats and rabbits. I have been a bit stressed since being in shelter so would love my new family to give me a few days to decompress and sleep before we go on adventures or meet new people.

In my perfect home I would love to have indoor and outdoor access, I get to spend lots of time in the office with the staff, I love to sleep in the air con and get lots of pats. I have shown some social behaviour with dogs in care but specifically with other hounds, I would be best suited to go home with another hound, or a dog that is of similar personality and energy levels to me! I cannot wait to meet you!
