Little bit about Ryder

Hello I'm Ryder, a fun-loving, entertaining & loyal boy looking for my forever home. I've been learning lots of new stuff here in shelter like impulse control, good manners & how to walk nicely on leash. I like quiet, sniffy walks, however you need to be aware that I am a strong boy so if I see something I want to approach when we're are walking, you're in for a good arm workout! My ideal life includes lots of yummy treats, kongs, lickimats and food puzzles, long quiet sniffy walks, soft toys, access indoors & outdoors (so I can hang out with you) and naps (preferably next to you).

My favourite room is the kitchen because….. well food. I love food! Sometimes, when my shelter friends leave the door open a bit long I help to clean out the fridge. Especially chicken – I'm the best at cleaning up chicken. If I'm honest I feel this skill of mine is not fully appreciated 😀

I'm not a fan of other dogs and I get uncomfortable if they get too close to me. This means that I will need to be the only furry companion in my new home, and beaches / dog parks / off leash areas are not suitable for me.

As much as the shelter staff love me, & I love them too, I can't stay here forever, I'm ready to live the life I have always wanted & truly deserve.
