Little bit about Matey

Ahoy there! My name's Matey, a 1-year-and-7-month-old Australian Kelpie full of energy and spirit. Sadly I have spent almost TWO YEARS without a home or family to love and adore me. I recently spent some time in foster care and loved having a family of my very own, it has made me realise exactly what I am missing.

I'm a guy who loves to be active and on the go, so a high-energy lifestyle suits me best. I'm looking for a human who's home most of the time, as I'm a bit of a social butterfly and I love company. Now, I'm not one for small talk – or small pets, for that matter. I'd do best in a single-dog household with no small pets around.

I have gained some life skills while I have been out in foster and have learnt what a home is like and what my humans need from me. I would do best with a guardian who has experience with training dogs, as I still have much to learn, but don't stress I am a smart boy who loves to please and learn. I would thrive in a home with older children, those who can provide me with the love and the patience I need, then I promise to be your loyal companion in all your adventures.
