What is Adopt A Pet?

Adopt A Pet is a database that contains information about animals who are available for adoption at RSPCA shelters and volunteer branches throughout Australia. All animals available on Adopt A Pet have been health checked and temperament tested by expert RSPCA staff.

Once you’ve found a pet you think is right for you, please contact the RSPCA shelter or volunteer branch listed in the 'Where can you find me?' section of the animal’s profile page. RSPCA staff and volunteers will be able to give you further information about the animal, discuss adoption requirements and make meeting arrangements.

All efforts are made to provide accurate information about each animal. Please contact the relevant RSPCA shelter or volunteer branch before deciding to visit an animal. Although the Adopt A Pet website is updated frequently, there may be a chance that the animal you are interested in is already going through an adoption process, or may have just recently been adopted.

Unfortunately we cannot place animals on hold over the phone.
